Umpires

Umpiring

Netball Victoria provides a range of services and development programs for umpires of all standards.

At FDNA and within Netball Victoria exists a great support network ready to assist you in realising your goals.

A number of courses are available to provide a pathway for development from beginner through to an AA umpire – Australia ‘s highest umpiring badge.

The Netball Australia Umpire Accreditation system is an educational pathway based on Netball Australia Umpiring Courses (Level 1 and 2), NOAS General Principles (Introductory and Advanced), Rules in Action and practical umpiring instruction through an experienced mentor system.

Assessment is based on Theory Examinations (Section 1 and 2), practical evaluation through established KPI’s, self reflection and, where possible, video analysis. The culmination of this accreditation system, for those who choose, leads to practical assessment in a 4-tiered system of badges, namely C, B, A and the highest national award the AA (All Australian).

FDNA host a number of training courses throughout the year. These are promoted via our Facebook account when dates become available.
